  • You must be able to take direction well and communicate effectively at all times. If selected to be a part of our team, you will be working under close supervision from The Stray Dog management group.

  • We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and friendly demeanor free of drama. You must be honest, hardworking, organized, dependable and able to work in a team environment.

  • The Stray Dog is open 7 days a week from noon until late.

  • You must be able to lift up to 50lbs, walk up and down flights of stairs and be on your feet for approximately 6-10 hours.

Job Descriptions/Requirements

Server

  • Must be out of high school for at least one year

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to serve alcohol in a legal, responsible and ethical manner

  • Ability to take food and drink orders properly

  • Ability to learn food and beverage menus to offer information and suggestions

  • Ability to make sure food and drinks are served in a timely manner

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management

Bartender

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must have previous bartending experience

  • Must be able to pass a bartender aptitude test

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to serve alcohol in a legal, responsible and ethical manner

  • Ability to take food and drink orders properly

  • Ability to learn food and beverage menus to offer information and suggestions

  • Ability to make sure food and drinks are served in a timely manner

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management

Food Runner

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to carry large trays of plated food

  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment

  • Ability to read food requisition tickets

  • Ability to communicate with servers

  • Ability to help bus tables if needed​

Busser

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to carry trays for clearing tables

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently

  • Ability to communicate with servers and hosts

  • Ability to help run food if needed​

Host

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to work with a waiting list system

  • Ability to work well under pressure and smile at all times

  • Ability to sell retail merchandise

  • Ability to communicate with management and bussers

Kitchen Expeditor (Expo)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment

  • Ability to organize and assemble food items for guests

  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond with urgency

  • Ability to use a computer system

  • Ability to ensure proper food preparation and presentation

Cook/Prep Cook

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment

  • Ability to read food orders from a computer screen

  • Ability to prepare and cook food properly

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to set up, break down and clean work areas

Dishwasher

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment

  • Ability to work with chemical cleaners

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently

  • Ability to complete maintenance, cleaning and garbage duties

Gear Store

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to sell retail merchandise

  • Ability to work well under pressure and smile at all times

  • Ability to inventory, restock and display merchandise

  • Ability to perform light cleaning duties​
