The Stray Dog is open seven days a week from noon until late.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk up and down flights of stairs, and remain on your feet for approximately 6–10 hours.

Job Descriptions/Requirements

Server

• Must be at least one year out of high school

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to serve alcohol in a legal, responsible, and ethical manner

• Ability to accurately take food and beverage orders

• Ability to learn the food and beverage menu to provide information and suggestions

• Ability to ensure food and drinks are served in a timely manner

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management

Host

• Must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to work with a waiting list system

• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor

• Ability to sell retail merchandise

• Ability to communicate effectively with management and bussers

Gear Store

• Must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to sell retail merchandise

• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor

• Ability to inventory, restock, and display merchandise

• Ability to perform light cleaning duties

Bartender

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Must have previous bartending experience

• Must be able to pass a bartender aptitude test

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to serve alcohol in a legal, responsible, and ethical manner

• Ability to accurately take food and beverage orders

• Ability to learn the food and beverage menu to provide information and suggestions

• Ability to ensure food and drinks are served in a timely manner

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management

Kitchen Expeditor (Expo)

• Must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to work with a waiting list system

• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor

• Ability to sell retail merchandise

• Ability to communicate effectively with management and bussers

Cook / Prep Cook

• Must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to work in a kitchen environment

• Ability to read food orders from a computer screen

• Ability to properly prepare and cook food

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Ability to set up, break down, and clean work areas

Food Runner

• Must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to carry large trays of plated food

• Ability to work in a kitchen environment

• Ability to read food requisition tickets

• Ability to communicate effectively with servers

• Ability to assist with bussing tables as needed

Busser

• Must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to carry trays for clearing tables

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently

• Ability to communicate effectively with servers and hosts

• Ability to assist with running food as needed

Dishwasher

• Must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to work in a kitchen environment

• Ability to work with chemical cleaners

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently

• Ability to complete maintenance, cleaning, and garbage duties
