About The Stray Dog
The Stray Dog Bar & Grill has been providing a fun, family-friendly dining experience and lively nightlife in New Buffalo for over 20 years. Located near the harbor, the restaurant offers multi-level dining, including a seasonal rooftop bar for guests 21+ and a family-friendly main level with a kids menu.
Our menu features comforting yet refreshing tacos, salads, sandwiches, half-pound burgers, shareables, and cocktails, made with fresh ingredients.
Seating is first-come, first-served. We do not accept reservations.
To ensure quality service for all guests, we currently seat parties of up to 8. Tables cannot be combined, and split parties may not be seated adjacent to one another. Out of consideration for guests waiting, we may ask for your table after 90 minutes.
Please note: due to local health regulations, dogs are not permitted inside the restaurant or on the rooftop. Service animals are welcome.
The Stray Dog also includes The Gear Store, located next to the Bar & Grill, offering Stray Dog apparel including T-shirts, sweatshirts, loungewear, hats, and accessories. Online shopping is not available.
We encourage cashless payments and accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

The Stray Dog Bar and Grill offers full-service dining 7 days a week, year-round. We open daily at 11:30 am until late EST.
The Stray Dog Gear Store is also open 7 days a week, year-round, at 11:30 am EST.
We love your dogs as much as you do!
Unfortunately, due to the Michigan Health Code, only SERVICE dogs are permitted in the restaurant.
